Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ChatReel collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you when using the service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account or guest workspace identifiers.
  • Chat screenshots, text scripts, and other content you submit.
  • Generated videos, render metadata, and usage logs.
  • Job history, upload paths, export metadata, and cloud workspace records linked to your account.
  • Device, browser, app, and diagnostic information needed to operate the service.
  • Local drafts, cached exports, and screenshot thumbnails stored on your device where supported.
  • Payment and billing metadata provided by Apple, Creem, or other processors.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to provide the service, process uploads, run OCR on screenshot-based jobs, render videos, deliver purchases, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and communicate support or billing updates.

3. Cloud processing and service providers

ChatReel uses cloud infrastructure to authenticate users, receive uploads, store job records, render exports, and deliver finished files. We currently use Firebase-hosted backend services for authentication, storage, database records, and rendering workflow delivery.

Screenshot-based exports may be processed using Google Cloud Vision OCR so the service can detect text in the uploaded image before rendering the video. We may also share information with payment processors such as Apple or Creem, and with analytics, security, or monitoring providers, but only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate ChatReel.

4. Retention

Uploaded screenshots, generated exports, and job records may be stored in ChatReel's cloud backend so signed-in users can reopen their workspace history across sessions and devices. We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, support your workspace, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods may vary based on the type of data and product usage.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You should avoid uploading content that you would not want processed online.

6. Your choices

You can review the content you enter before submitting it for processing. On supported clients, you may also clear local drafts and cached exports from the device.

You may contact us to request account help or deletion-related assistance where applicable. Where account deletion is supported, it is intended to remove cloud exports, credits balance, and verification-related workspace data, subject to any data we must retain for fraud prevention, accounting, legal obligations, or operational backups.

7. Children's privacy

ChatReel is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
